Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas !!!

November was Rachel's 1yr birthday on the 23rd - the year has gone by fast! With firsts all around: 6 teeth, eating solids and by herself, and in December walking.

Our house Christmas lights - and snow, its was quite a storm! We are still seeing and feeling the results with it still cloging the streets two weeks later.

But before that of course was a good fall , lots of sun.

Rachel attended her first football game; not watched as you can tell. It was very cold but she was snug as a bug!

We carved a pumpkin and dressed up for Halloween; here's the pirate and her serving wench

And a shared birthday party with cousin Sidonie - 1yr for Rachel and 2yr on the 28th for Sid! They seach had their own cake to mangle.

Happy Fall!
Here are some of the lastest adventures of chez Kehl :

Annual Air Races - from fenceliners (pilon 5)-

A great trip to Sacramento/Antioch Delta river - we found a great spot

Then went to Rachel's first pro-baseball game - Go Giants (they won the game too which was nice)! The foam "K" to root on the pitchers and garlic fries were a big hit!

Started dog Toby dock-jumping -

After a nap at Aunt Christy's -

Celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary Oct4th with opera tickets to 'Carmen' (Andy and Ruth performed in the pit!) and Ichibans food show - yum!

July/August '09

Happy Summer!

Rachel helped mommy planting strawberries;

went on her first boat ride at S.Lake Tahoe;

celebrated 4th July with the Kehl family;

sold the small boat and got a better one - first trip Lake Lahotan;

went camping at Lake Shasta; daddy jumping the boat wake-

mommy tubing -

cutie baby drooling;

Another outing at Donner Lake (can you tell she loves the jacket?ha);

went to Boomtown for a friends wedding (yay Amanda and Toby) and got a free ride on the carousel - fun!

and yesterday Aug 15th we discovered that she broke her first tooth!

Here's todays shot of her making a pass at daddy's chips. No matter that she's not eating the chips yet - she wants the crinkly bag!

May/June 09

Chillin' in my ride...

Our first mothers day! We got to go to TWO mommie-daughter banquets - yay :)

First at Grandma Cheryls Church....

And despite the "face" she was well behaved! Some expressions are priceless.

And at Auntie Christy's church :)

Then for our first live baseball game with Gma& Gpa Kehl at the new Reno Aces stadium- beautiful day

And first family camping at Frenchmans Lake Chilcoot Campground site #1 - the last site available in the area on Memorial Day; was very cold at night but baby did wonderful tent camping - sleeping all night just like at home.

And just settled down after morning snack

Rachel is 14lbs and 26"long now is rolling over by herself this week. To make her laugh all you do is play peek-a-boo ("Boo" is also daddy's nickname for her) or have the dog bark or whine - she's a very happy soul!

Mar/Apr 09

Happy St Patricks and Easter! HE is risen!

Kilroy was here...

Rachel is loveable and cuddly as always - now into grabbing things with purpose and trying new foods like rice cereal and daddy's yummy mashed potatoes.

1st time ever muchin' in the bumbo -she's a good eater and gets a little impatient between bites.

NO PAPARAZZI at the changing table - sheesh!

Look what the Easter bunny brought! But Rachel prefered to chew on the bunny Steve got her.

Just chewin' on my favorite new toy. Noses and beaks are the best!


We had the family over for Easter for a chicken bbq and strawberry shortcake :)

Annie enjoyed holding Rachel, and Sidonie especially enjoyed the stairs.

And now that it's baseball season Rachel watches most of the games with daddy.

Thumbs up for the Giants; Beat L.A! Gooo team!

And thumbs in for me, no teeth yet but expect them soon!

Jan/Feb

The months have passed quickly, and Rachel's been such a great baby! She sleeps through the night most nights in her bassinet, and is approaching 12pds. Her cousin Sidonie is 24pds and 1yr older - during one visit to Andy's ranch they played together- too cute!

Rachel likes to hum and babble - lots of hmmm! and whooo! and meh!

Her neck is strong, and turns head back and forth between people when they're talking like a tennis match. Here she's doing tummy time with grandma Cheryl.

Nevermind that only my toes touch the ground -lets get moving!
